    Two accused of setting Gloversville building on fire

    GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Gloversville Police Department arrested two men in connection with the Gloversville fire that happened early Thursday morning. Sean Quigley, 24, and Matthew Conklin, 38, face multiple charges.

    Charges

    • Third-degree burglary
    • Second-degree criminal mischief
    • First-degree reckless endangerment
    • Third-degree arson

    The Gloversville Fire Department was dispatched to the old Taylor Made building for reports of flames showing at 10 West Ninth Avenue at 2:50 a.m. Firefighters were on the scene until 3:45 p.m. to make sure the fire was out.

    During the investigation, there were several road closures in place. Ultimately, Quigley was found as the suspect in starting the fire, according to police.

    Quigley was released with an appearance ticket for September 9 in Gloversville City Court. Conklin was arraigned in Gloversville City Court and remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility.
