Man charged for statutory rape, indecent liberties in Davidson County, sheriff reports

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man was arrested and charged for allegedly participating in sexual crimes with a minor, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

On Thursday, Robert Lee Andrus, 54, of Lexington, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree statutory rape and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.

In June, DCSO received a report of statutory rape against a minor. During the investigation, the victim was seen at The Dragonfly House where they disclosed sexual abuse. They also identified Andrus as the suspect, who is known to them.

Andrus was taken to the Davidson County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 26.
