    High school artists celebrated in juried art show

    GLENS FALLS, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– Students from five counties participated in The Hyde Collection’s 33rd Annual High School Juried Art Show that opened on Saturday, May 4. The exhibition is on display at the museum until Sunday, June 2.

    Students from Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton, and Essex Counties gained experience with the competitive art environment through the exhibition. Judges selected 100 art pieces for the 2024 exhibition, including drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, sculptures, and more.

    The exhibition winners receive a SUNY Adirondack art class scholarship, Salem Art Works summer program gift certificates, or a gifted North Country Arts membership. A Visitor’s Choice Award will go to one of the selected artists at the end of the exhibition.

    • Jurors Award: Rahe Lulla, Cambridge Central School, “Monochromos”
    • Jurors Award: Leah Bell, Saratoga Springs High School, “Vogue Goes Pink”
    • Jurors Award: Taylor Gross, Whitehall Jr Sr High School, “A Little Fruity”
    • North Country Arts Award: Evangeline Landry, Argyle Central School, “Saturn’s Ice Rink”
    • North Country Arts Award: Lilly Wright, Glens Falls High School, “Butterfly”
    • North Country Arts Award: Maya Rosko, Saratoga Springs High School, “Apple”
    • North Country Arts Award: Drake Belrose, Schroon Lake Central School, “Lumos”
