New Mediterranean restaurant opens in Colonie

COLONIE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A new Mediterranean eatery has opened its doors in Colonie. Bol Mediterranean Grill, located at 1875 Central Avenue, officially opened at the end of July.

Owner Saber Seraj grew up in Colonie and has previous experience working in restaurants. Seraj chose the Central Avenue location due to its visibility and accessibility to the community.

“My family is originally from Afghanistan, so the food and flavors are derived from family recipes,” said Seraj. “This allows us to offer authentic tastes rooted in our cultural heritage while appealing to lovers of Mediterranean cuisine.”

Bol Mediterranean Grill serves bowls and pita with chicken, falafel, lamb, and/or beef, with rice and vegetables, as well as mantu, hummus, kebab fries, fried eggplant, and more. You can view the full menu on the Bol website .

The restaurant is also 100% Zabiha Halal. Bol Mediterranean Grill is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“We’re excited to share our passion for food with the Colonie community and bring a taste of our family’s culinary traditions to the area,” said Seraj.
