Habitat for Humanity to receive land for affordable housing units

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- Two parcels of land in La Crosse will be transferred to Habitat for Humanity for affordable housing units on Wednesday.

Three Sixty Real Estate Solutions announced Monday that they will transfer two parcels of land located at 10th and Division Street to Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region.

Three Sixty originally purchased the land from Mayo Clinic Health System back in April , announcing that Habitat would receive two parcels. Wednesday will mark the official land transfer.

According to a release, the transfer reflects Three Sixty's commitment to sustainability, community development and affordable housing.

“Three Sixty is dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact on the neighborhoods where we operate. By transferring these parcels to Habitat for Humanity, we’re not just passing on land; we’re contributing to a vision of a stronger, more inclusive community,” said Marvin Wanders, Owner of Three Sixty Real Estate Solutions.

The housing units will be built and maintained by Habitat for Humanity, who plan to begin development soon.

“Habitat for Humanity is excited to work with Three Sixty and the Washburn Neighborhood to transform this block, providing safe and affordable housing and access to healthy food,” said Kahya Fox, Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity.
