3 Reasons The Tennessee Titans Will Surprise People In 2024

The Tennessee Titans might be the least talked about team in the NFL this off-season. While analysts and fans argue about Dak Prescott, Russell Wilson, and Brandon Aiyuk, the Titans have quietly built one of the most compelling new-look offenses in the AFC this year.

Here’s a look at three reasons the team from Tennessee will catch the spotlight by October.

    Will Levis’ massive chip remains

The 2023 NFL Draft will be remembered by most as the CJ Stroud draft. However, while Stroud soaked up the rookie limelight last year, Levis quietly seethed. Fans will recall Levis’ look of anger and disgust as he waited through the entire first round of the draft to hear his name called. It took another day for him to get drafted, and while fans have long since moved on, Levis has not. Expect Levis to come out swinging with a vengeance this season.

Tyjae Spears will surprise the NFL

Last year, Derrick Henry owned the Titans’ top spot on the depth chart at running back, and with good reason. However, sitting quietly behind him, Tyjae Spears racked up a 4.5 yards per carry average and nearly 500 yards as a backup. Despite the team picking up Tony Pollard, Spears has a case to rip away the starting gig this summer and take the league by storm. He could end up with well over 1000 yards this season without breaking a sweat. If that happens, the Titans will be in great shape.

    Quietly stacked wide receiver trio

If the Chiefs had the same wide receiver trio as the Titans, analysts might just turn off the television this season. The Titans have Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, and Tyler Boyd to fill their top three slots. As a third-string receiver, Boyd has had multiple 1000-yard seasons and is on the best side of 30. Hopkins has proven that when healthy, he can still play as well as anyone.

Ridley, meanwhile, is coming off the second-best season of his career. The Titans quietly have amassed a complete offense overnight, and above all, they have the element of surprise.
