2 Tennessee Titans Fantasy Football Sleepers For 2024

The Tennessee Titans as a team might be a sleeper in the NFL this season. However, fantasy football managers are only interested in whether the players will succeed as much as their organization does.

With about 25 players to choose from on each team, it can be overwhelming.

Here are two players worth spotlighting for those interested in picking up someone from the Titans.

    Tyjae Spears, RB

Derrick Henry built the last major Titans era. However, his backup running back has shown some flash as well. Tyjae Spears only had limited touches of the football last year, but showed some potential. The running back averaged 4.5 yards per carry on 100 touches and also racked up 385 yards and a touchdown through the air.

Spears also passes the eye test, showing spark and speed when handed the football. At a bare minimum, the running back is set to be the second back in a dual-back set that will afford him more touches this year than in 2023. Meaning, his floor is higher this season than last season.

Also, considering Tony Pollard’s recent injury troubles, Spears could be a golden opportunity for fantasy managers. Unlike Henry, he also hands the Titans an opportunity to be effective in space by catching the football. His ceiling could be similar to Alvin Kamara.

    Tyler Boyd, WR

Tyler Boyd made his name with Joe Burrow, but now finds himself in third place on the depth chart behind DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley.

At face value, Boyd might be too deep on the depth chart for some fantasy managers. However, considering DeAndre Hopkins already starting the year with injury issues, Boyd could be sneaky good this year. Of course, this assumes Hopkins will be in and out of the lineup this year.

Boyd has earned at least 750 yards and four touchdowns in three of the last four seasons, setting a relatively high floor. However, this isn’t a green light to draft Boyd as soon as possible. Rather, he would be a wise late-draft choice as a bench player with starting upside in certain weeks.

There’s also a decent chance Boyd could find himself as a free agent in many leagues. However, managers who elect to wait until the last second to attempt to snag Boyd could face a waiver war with other managers. If managers get him now, they can avoid that at the outset. If you are thinking of getting him later, you might as well get him now.
