It was another complete team effort as the Rochester Red Wings (7-2, 45-37) knocked off the Buffalo Bisons (3-5, 40-42) 3-1 in Buffalo on Wednesday. The Red Wings jumped out to another early lead before holding off a rally from the Bisons. It was poor defense from the Bisons that got the scoring started in the second. Jackson Cluff reached on a bunt single and advanced to second on a throwing error. With runners on the corners and two outs, Erick Mejia hit one to Bisons’ second baseman Miguel Hiraldo whose throwing error scored Cluff.

Bills, Sabres play on the same day twice next season
The Buffalo Sabres’ 2024-25 regular-season schedule was announced on Tuesday, and the two professional sports teams in Buffalo will be doing battle twice on the same date next season. On one occasion, the two teams will be on the field/ice at the same time. On the other, fans will be able to catch both games. Of course, this could change depending on how flex scheduling plays out and whether the Bills have any playoff games that coincide with a Sabres game.
