‘Extremely happy we’re here’: Mobile Market sees success in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — It’s been seven months since the launch of the mobile market, which offers fresh food to areas of Lexington without a nearby grocery. It’s a rolling grocery store aisle that serves areas of Lexington considered “food deserts.” The program removes the question, “How am I going to get to the store?” from the equation. It’s a partnership between Kroger, the city of Lexington, and God’s Food Pantry.
