Professional golfers and UK student-athletes will join past and present patients of Kentucky Children’s Hospital Tuesday afternoon for the annual Mini Pro-Am Golf Tournament. Tricia Potts is the senior director of Corporate and Community Giving for Kentucky Children's Hospital and UK’s College of Medicine. She said they’ll be playing in an unusual setting.

“The pro athletes will be coming to the children's hospital to play putt-putt with our inpatient children. So it will actually take place throughout the children's hospital in order to give our inpatients an opportunity to just be a kid while they're in the hospital.”

Potts said with COVID restrictions a thing of the past, the tournament can move back to its original setting.

“We've hosted it the last several years at Kroger Field or Kentucky Proud Park, but this is the first year since 2019 that we're actually able to bring it back in the hospital.”

Since 2018, the ISCO Championship and its predecessor, the Barbasol Championship, have contributed more than $445,000 to Kentucky Children’s Hospital. The ISCO Championship begins Monday in Nicholasville.
