A popular restaurant chain, Red Lobster, is shuttering 87 of its locations across 27 states in the United States. The closures, initially termed 'temporary' on the company's website, are confirmed through auction listings by restaurant equipment liquidator TAGeX Brands. Among the affected sites are 48 Red Lobster outlets now up for auction. Notably, this includes two locations in the Tri-State area (South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota): Council Bluffs and Waterloo, Iowa. However, specific locations in South Dakota (Sioux Falls, Rapids City), Iowa (Ames, Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Davenport, Sioux City, West Des Moines), and Minnesota (Bloomington, Burnsville, Duluth, Golden Valley, Mankato, Maple Grove, Maplewood, Minneapolis, Oakdale, Roseville, St. Cloud) remain operational and are not part of the closure list at this time.
