Schenectady Police investigate Mumford Street shooting
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WRGB) — A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting on Mumford Street in Schenectady. According to a release, Schenectady Police officers and paramedics from the fire department were dispatched to 532 Mumford Street at approximately 10:58 p.m. Thursday for the report of a person shot in front of the residence. Upon arrival, authorities said they found a man nearby with what appeared to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was reportedly treated on scene and taken to Albany Medical Center.

Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy is proposing a change to the city charter that would establish a budget deadline. Two hospitalized after Albany Police say fight leads to stabbing
ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Albany Police are investigating a stabbing incident that sent two men to the hospital Thursday. According to a release, officers responded to the area of Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue for reports of an individual who had been stabbed, at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday. There, authorities said they found a 37-year-old man with a laceration to his arm. He was reportedly treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
