Rocklin incident report: Assault by vacuum, red light runner, stolen vehicle found
The Rocklin Police Department publishes a weekly crime report, here are the published incidents from June 17-23: At 1:24 a.m., Rocklin officers responded to a couple standing next to a vehicle with all four tires slashed in a business parking lot on the 4000 block of Pacific Street. While on scene, officers discovered one of the involved parties had an outstanding felony arrest warrant. The male with the warrant was transported and booked at the South Placer Jail without incident.
DUI checkpoint set for El Dorado Hills July 6
The California Highway Patrol has announced that its Placerville area division will be conducting a DUI checkpoint on July 6 somewhere within El Dorado Hills. “All too often members of our community are senselessly injured or killed on our local roadways by intoxicated drivers,” said Lt. Rick Hatfield, CHP Placerville commander in an agency press release.

During a protest against Adam Schiff in Roseville a dozen or so peaceful protesters were violently assaulted by Roseville PD. No dispersal order was given before RPD attacked protesters, then mass arrested them. Many were injured during the assault, and 3 comrades still remain in custody, facing serious charges. Call the South Placer County Jail at 916-774-5000 to demand they be freed, and Roseville PD be held accountable for their unlawful assault and arrests.
Folsom police will enforce homeless camping bans on public property, chief says
FOLSOM, Calif. — The Folsom Police Department started Monday its homeless outreach team (HOT), which will ban unlawful camping on public property, authorities said. Folsom Police Chief Rick Hillman confirmed the team’s creation in an email Thursday afternoon to ABC10. It consists of a sergeant and two police officers for now, he said. The team can enforce bans on homeless people unlawfully sleeping outside in public spaces or camping on public property after the Supreme Court’s decision in City of Grants Pass v. Johnson.
Man dies after being hit by a car in Sacramento County
ORANGEVALE, Calif. — A man died after being hit by a car in Orangevale on Monday. The California Highway Patrol said around 7:50 a.m., a man was standing on the center median of Hazel Avenue, south of Greenback Lane. A woman was driving a Ford Fusion southbound on Hazel Avenue, through the intersection of Greenback Lane.
