Fairgrounds hosts community question/answer session
Amid much negative feedback, Gold Country Fairgrounds staff invited the community to ask questions at an event Monday morning. “As you know, the fairgrounds has been quite the topic of conversation for some time now. Some would say it started with the Mosquito Fire Camp in the fall of 2022 and escalated with the combination of parking, rental rates, community relationships and more,” said Sonia Del Toro, staff service analyst for the Gold Country Fairgrounds, addressing the crowd. "Our goal is to be transparent, honest and vulnerable with you in order to clear up any misconceptions.”
