PATERSON, NJ - A Passaic man that showed up at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound early Friday morning was struck by gunfire in the area of Park Avenue and East 18th Street, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Detectives hunt for killer in fatal N.J. shooting
A man was shot and killed in Newark Tuesday night, and authorities were looking for the shooter on Wednesday, authorities said. Newark Police officers went to the 200 block of Park Avenue at 9:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said in a joint announcement. The officers found a male victim unconscious and suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound, Stephens and Fragé said.
