    Man injured after shooting on Proctor Street: NCPD

    NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department is investigating a shooting on Proctor Street that left one man injured Thursday afternoon.

    Officers report the shooting occurred around 3:27 p.m. Upon arrival, police discovered a male victim in the middle of the roadway with a gunshot wound.

    According to authorities, officers on the scene applied a tourniquet to the victim’s upper left leg. He was later transported to a local hospital by EMS.

    The victim says he was walking down Proctor Street when he was pushed down and then shot, according to reports.

    The responding officer reports the subject can be seen on camera shooting at the victim and then running away from the scene toward Florida Ave.

    Before the shooting, the subject and the victim can be seen on camera leaving a grassy field behind Uncle Sam’s Mart, the responding officer added.
