    Pedestrian killed in North Las Vegas crash, driver arrested for suspected DUI

    LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A driver is facing several charges in the death of a pedestrian early Tuesday morning in North Las Vegas.

    The crash occurred shortly after midnight at the intersection of June Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, north of Carey Avenue.

    According to North Las Vegas police, a 47-year-old man was struck by a Ford Fusion as he attempted to cross MLK outside of a crosswalk. He was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the pedestrian will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.

    The driver remained at the scene but showed signs of impairment and was arrested. Police have identified him as Marc Du Shane Wesley, 57. He was taken to the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center where he was booked for charges of DUI resulting in death, possession of a controlled substance, and driving without a driver’s license.
