NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A not-guilty verdict was returned Monday in a manslaughter case out of North Providence.

The jury acquitted 62-year-old Mark Santilli after a three-day trial, according to court records.

The charge stemmed from the October 2021 stabbing death of 29-year-old Torrezz Lumpkins. Police called it a domestic incident at the time, saying the two men knew each other.

Santilli was initially arrested on a murder charge, but that was downgraded to manslaughter several months later.
