Williamsport, Pa. — A Lycoming County prisoner who was admitted to the hospital after a seizure failed to report back to jail after he was discharged last year, police say.

Kyle Austin Hall, 27, was picked up at the prison by constables on July 25, 2023 and taken to a preliminary hearing in East Stroudsburg. On the way back, Hall suffered a seizure near Wilkes-Barre. Constables called for an ambulance and Hall was taken to nearby Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital and admitted.

Lycoming County Judge Kenneth Brown issued and order, that was served and signed by Hall in the hospital, that he was to return to the prison within 24 hours of his discharge, court records show.

Hall was released, but failed to return to prison and a bench warrant was issued on July 31, charges say. Police reportedly found him in Horseheads, NY on Sept. 9, 2023 and arrested him.

Although the incident happened last year, police only recently filed felony escape and flight charges against Hall.
