Northern Cambria chiropractor accused of touching minor facing more charges

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) —  A Northern Cambria chiropractor who has been accused of touching a minor inappropriately during an appointment is now facing more charges after another child has come forward to police.

Robine Elias, 50, is facing more charges after another minor told police that Elias touched him inappropriately during two appointments, according to the criminal complaint. The 15-year-old boy told police that on two occasions Elias touched his genitals.

According to the affidavit, on May 28 officers from Jackson Township Police Department were contacted by the guardian of the boy who wanted to speak to them about a sexual assault. On June 4, in an interview, the minor told police that he had been seeing Elias since late 2023, but the last two appointments he had with him were very different. The incidents allegedly occurred on April 30, 2024, and May 3, 2024.

The child said that during both appointments while he was being adjusted Elias rubbed his hand over his genital area. The child told police that Elias told him that he was sorry he had to do this. He added that Elias would also call him things like a “good boy” or a “big boy” during the appointments, according to the complaint.

The child told his guardian on April 30, after the appointment, that Elias had touched his genitals, but when asked he said that he did not want her to go back into the building. During the May 3 appointment, the guardian of the child said she was paying closer attention to Elias and allegedly heard him say that he was sorry he had to do this before he brushed up against the 15-year-old’s genitals.

According to the complaint, the guardian allegedly also heard him call the child a “good boy” and that after the second incident, they never returned.

Elias is facing misdemeanor charges of Indecent assault without consent and indecent assault of a person less than 16.

As of Tuesday, July 9, Elias is waiting to be arraigned on these charges.
