• Amanda Lorusso graduated from Emmanuel College on Saturday, May 18, during the college's 102nd commencement exercises on its campus in Boston. Lorusso received a bachelor of science in biology with a concentration in health sciences during the ceremony. Lorusso, the daughter of Dolores and Anthony Lorusso, graduated summa cum laude and with distinction in the field of study.
Living expenses at Northeastern are creeping up each year. Some students say they aren’t getting the bang for their buck.
With semesterly housing rates approaching $10,000 per semester, Northeastern dorms are more than 25% pricier than they were 20 years ago, when accounting for inflation. Off-campus housing isn’t much cheaper — a recent report ranked Northeastern the eighth most expensive college to live off-campus in the United States, just behind Harvard (ranked seventh) and Boston University (ranked sixth). The report found that students living off campus at Northeastern can expect to pay around $3,400 a month.

MassBay and Framingham High School Hold Second Automotive Technology Boot Camp to Strengthen the Auto Technician Pipeline
This is the second consecutive summer MassBay Community College and Framingham High School have held an automotive technology summer boot camp to help strengthen the pipeline of trained technicians. The boot camp, which has been funded through Framingham Public School, MassBay, and Youth Connections/MassHire grant, will provide 25 Framingham High rising junior and senior students the opportunity to engage in a three-week hands-on intensive workshop to learn more about the automotive industry.
