Former NFL Coach Eric Sutulovich Named Stephens County Athletic Director

Stephens County has a new Athletic Director, former NFL Coach Eric Sutulovich.

Sutulovich was named Athletic Director at a meeting of the Stephens County Board of Education on July 18. He has 18 years of professional, college, and high school football coaching experience behind him. Currently, he serves as the Special Teams Coordinator for Cherokee Bluff High School in Flowery Branch, Georgia.

His resume includes Assistant Special Teams Coach for the Atlanta Falcons, Offensive Quality Control for the Detroit Lions, Assistant Special Teams Coach for the Houston Texans, and Quality Control Coordinator for the University of Kansas.

With a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University, Sutulovich works as Vice President of the Southeast Region for Bordner Home Improvement. He has vast business and professional sales management experience.

“We are excited to have Coach Sutulovich lead our athletics program,” said John Stith, Deputy Superintendent.

Stitch explained that Sutulovich not only brings extensive NFL coaching experience with multiple playoff appearances and Super Bowl participation but also strong leadership and team-building skills from both high school and professional levels.

“He has a proven ability to manage staff and budgets as well as marketing expertise. We look forward to his leadership and the future growth and success of our Stephens County Indians,” Stitch said.

Sutulovich said he is honored to join Stephens County with its rich traditions. “I am committed to fostering a forward-thinking athletic program that champions excellence, teamwork, and the total development of our student-athletes,” Sutulovich added.
