The residents of one Illinois hospital's neonatal intensive care unit are completely melting after the newborns' caregivers dressed them all up in preparation of this year's Olympic games .

Advocate Children's Hospital, located in Oak Lawn, shared a series of photos on Facebook on Thursday, July 25, of the babies in their care decked out in sunnies, gold medals, sweatbands, and other Team USA-themed garb, calling them "the tiniest and most adorable members of Team USA."

"Small but mighty, these little champions have already overcome so many hurdles in their first few weeks and months of life," they introduced. "The Advocate Children’s Hospital team has awarded them gold medals for resilience, bravery and cuteness. With their go-for-the-gold mindset, we may just see them on the big Olympic stage someday."

"Already champions in their own right!!" one user declared after seeing the sweet pictures, while another dubbed it a "wonderful celebration of life & strength," noting how the "babies are fighters everyday of their lives."

A video posted by Good Morning America included a few more extended clips of the young patients, showing one little athlete working on his gains with a tiny dumbbell.

According to the publication, the babies' families were involved, as well, "safely dress[ing] them in medals and patriotic clothing ahead of the opening ceremony ," which takes place today, July 26.

"The babies and families in our NICU have courage and strength that rivals what we see on the Olympic stage," Dr. Michael Cappelo , the hospital's vice-chair of pediatrics and a neonatalogist, added, stating that they are "celebrating their wins no matter how small."

That's what we call going for gold!
