Shohei Ohtani Makes History As He Joins The 30-30 Club

Shohei Ohtani seems to make history every time he steps onto a baseball field. He's been the first player to do a lot of things, and his feat during Saturday night's 10-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics was no different.
Ohtani stole bases 29, 30, and 31 during Saturday's game. And the moment Ohtani stole his 30th base, he made history. Ohtani became the first primary DH to join the 30-30 club (at least 30 home runs, and 30 stolen bases in one season) in MLB history. Ohtani also became the third fastest player in MLB history to join the exclusive club.
Saturday night was Ohtani's 108th game played on the season. Only Eric Young (90 games, 1987 Cincinnati Reds), and Alex Rodriguez (107 games, 1998 Seattle Mariners) have accomplished the feat faster than Ohtani.
Here is the historic stolen base:
With Ohtani's focus solely on hitting, as he isn't schedule to pitch again until the 2025 season, there's no reason why a healthy-Ohtani can't become just the sixth person to join the 40-40 club. Stay tuned...
Ohtani continues to be must see TV every time he graces the diamond with his presence.
