OPD looks for help on cold case

Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, was the last time Ana Bell Juarez’s family saw her alive. Ana Bell, a 29-year-old mother of two from Odessa, was said to be headed to Juarez and then Ojinaga to visit family when she vanished.

In May 2024, Odessa Police Department Cold Case Detective Lauren Gonzales caught up with the internationally acclaimed true crime podcast The Deck to tell the story of Ana Bell’s disappearance in hopes that someone out there listening will come forward with information about what happened to her.

On July 17, Ana Bell’s episode was released on The Deck podcast and the Odessa Police Department is asking the public to listen to the episode and share it with your friends and family.
