The NBA Draft always presents an interesting opportunity for teams as they try and rebuild their roster and add pieces where they can during the offseason.

While some go about this with the strategy of adding top prospects in the draft, others attempt to wheel and deal their way through things with draft-day trades. The Golden State Warriors found themselves in the second camp on Thursday, executing a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Golden State is sending pick No. 52 in the second round of the draft on Thursday afternoon to Oklahoma City for Lindy Waters III.

Waters played for three seasons with the Thunder after signing as an undrafted free agent, averaging just 3.6 points off of the bench in 2024. While he won't have a major impact on the Warriors, there's a chance that he can garner some rotational minutes this upcoming season.

In the meantime, we are still waiting for a mega-trade to take place, one which could potentially involve the Warriors. At this point, though, it doesn't seem like one is coming before the draft is over.
