A 3-year-old girl was killed in Oklahoma City Sunday after being ejected from a car and run over by a driver than allegedly took off, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Romon Grandison, 28, of Shawnee was driving southbound on I-35 in Oklahoma City around noon Sunday when he fell asleep behind the wheel and struck a concrete barrier wall, according to the collision report.

Along with the 3-year-old, inside the truck was 23-year-old Katilyn Kurrasch of Arlington, TX, a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old girl.

The 3-year-old was ejected from the driver's rear window due to the collision and stopped on the highway when a black Tesla struck her and continued driving, OHP reported.

Only the 1-year-old was wearing a seatbelt, and none of the truck's airbags were deployed.

The 3-year-old was pronounced deceased at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

It's unclear if the person driving the black Tesla is being actively searched for.
