    Neighbors wake up to gunfire Saturday night in SW Oklahoma City

    OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — Oklahoma City Police responded to reported gunfire in a neighborhood near SW 52nd St. and May Ave. late Saturday night.

    “We received numerous calls to dispatch 9-1-1 regarding shots being fired. This was approximately 10 minutes until midnight last night,” said Sgt. Rob Robertson.

    News 4 went to the neighborhood where the shooting happened.

    One man who called 911 did not want to be on camera, but said he heard multiple rounds of gun shots around 11:50 p.m. Authorities believe it was a party or gathering happening in a nearby home.

    Other neighbors describe seeing teenagers running down the street away from the gunfire.

    Police say two victims were taken to the hospital. One victim was allegedly hit by a car, per Sgt. Robertson.

    The conditions on the victims are unknown at this time.

    Police are still working to identify the suspects but say two people were taken into custody.
