Airport Fly-in to include parachute jumpers, candy drop and more
Rice Lake Tourism and Rice Lake Air Center present its annual Fly-In at the Rice Lake Regional Airport — Carl's Field at 1872 14½ Ave., Cameron, on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free family event will include parachute jumpers at 8:30 a.m., airplane and helicopter rides, a kids candy drop from a helicopter, and a chance to see aircrafts of all types, a Harley Davidson/Toro display and race motorcycles. A pancake breakfast is served by the Cameron Boy Scouts from 8-10 a.m., which is free for participating pilots. A lunch of hamburgers or brats is available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

(CBS DETROIT) — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to issue a fuel waiver for Michigan and three other Midwest states after an outage at an Illinois oil refinery.Prior to the approval, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer sent a letter to the EPA Whitmer wrote a letter to the EPA requesting an emergency fuel waiver that would boost our fuel supply and lower gas prices in Michigan.
