The parent company that now owns Valleyfair just announced a massive new pricing plan that affects 27 amusement parks across the country, including here in Minnesota. Valleyfair has been Minnesota's lone amusement park for nearly 50 years now, standing tall along Highway 169 in Shakopee since it first opened back in 1976. West Duluth is gearing up for the annual Spirit Valley Days, a multi-day celebration known for its vibrant parade, car show, and craft and vendor fair, with street closures and parking restrictions planned for the safety and accommodation of participants and spectators. According to a city announcement, the festivities kicked off with the Spirit Valley Days Parade which began at 6 p.m. on Thursday and brought street closures to parts of 59th Ave W, Grand Ave, and Central Ave from 5:30 p.m., reopening them by approximately 7:30 p.m. after the event concluded.
