Georgia an immediate contender for in-state CB Shamar Arnoux

Georgia is near the top of the board for Carrollton (Ga.) three-star cornerback Shamar Arnoux . The former Tennessee commit decommitted from the Volunteers following a visit to Georgia during the winter.

Arnoux originally committed to Tennessee back on April 7, 2023.

Georgia extended an offer to Arnoux on Monday. Georgia has immediately climbed even higher on Arnoux’s board now that he has the offer from the in-state program.

An offer from Georgia is one Arnoux has been waking on. The emotions rushing through him on Monday reflected that wait. Arnoux grew up following the program having grown up in the Atlanta area throughout his life.

“I feel satisfaction, honor, excitement and it’s just further proof that the hard work is paying off,” Arnoux told DawgsHQ. “Growing up in ga there’s nothing bigger than Georgia football…They are definitely part of my top five. Honestly, it’s been there even before the offer. I’ve been working for this one.”

Georgia checks a lot of boxes for Shamar Arnoux

Arnoux has a lot of respect for Georgia as a program. He feels Georgia is one of the top programs in the country.

“Georgia is the standard in college football right now, it means a lot,” Arnoux said.

Arnoux has been on campus a few times already. He’s also been communicating with Georgia’s coaching staff for months. He visited during Georgia’s junior day back in January.

Arnoux enjoys the energy of the Bulldogs’ staff. He feels that he’s a fit for Georgia’s competitive culture.

“It’s the energy,” Arnoux said. “All the coaches are like dawgs and intense competitors. I pride myself on being both.”

Arnoux is already planning unofficial visits to Georgia this summer. He’s also working on an official visit to Georgia as well. Nothing is set as of now but those visits will be looked in soon for Arnoux.
