4-star RB Bo Walker on status: ‘If anything happens, it happens’

Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove four-star Georgia running back commit Bo Walker finds himself at a bit of a crossroad in his recruitment.

The No. 266 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Rankings committed to Georgia back on Oct. 12. Georgia has had Walker’s heart for a long time. Former Georgia running back coach Dell McGee connected with Walker on a deep level.

Then, in February McGee took the head coaching position at Georgia State. Walker has been committed to the Bulldogs since. His heart is with Georgia.

Georgia hired Josh Crawford to replace McGee. Walker and Crawford have begun getting to know one another. Georgia has also turned up the heat on four-stars Bo Jackson and Ousmane Kromah as well as athlete Todd Robinson who was also offered by Crawford.

Walker has liked what he’s seen of Crawford so far.

“He’s a good dude,” Walker said.

Bo Walker expanding his horizons

Walker has admittedly begun to take a look around. The four-star is set to take his official visit to Georgia this weekend beginning on May 31. He will take an official visit to Georgia Tech on June 7 and another one to North Carolina on June 21.

“That’s going to be a good little start to my summer,” Walker said. “I’m just looking at other places. I really haven’t gone anywhere. I’ve always stayed in Georgia.”

North Carolina and Georgia Tech have made recent pushes to flip Walker.

“Both of those schools have been pushing for me,” Walker said.

Walker feels as long as Georgia’s coaching staff continues to show him, love, he will remain committed.

“I want to be a Dawg but as long as we keep the communication going, then I’ll be a Dawg but if anything else happens, it happens,” Walker said.

Walker is still actively recruiting on behalf of Georgia. He has a few in-state targets that he’s got his eyes on.

“I really communicate with all the commits,” Walker said. “I’m really trying to get the offensive lineman from Westlake, Juan Gaston . I’m also trying to get the linebacker, Zayden Walker . We’re trying to get this thing rolling.”
