Team USA trio Mallory Swanson, Sophia Smith, Trinity Rodman announce ‘Triple Espresso’ nickname

Team USA’s women’s soccer team has been excelling in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, most recently defeating Germany 1-0 on Tuesday to advance to a matchup against Brazil this Saturday, August 10 where an Olympic gold medal will be on the line.

The trio of Mallory Swanson , Sophia Smith , and Trinity Rodman have been integral in Team USA’s recent success. Providing goal scoring and energy to their team that’s fueled an impressive run during the Summer Games.

The energetic trio is worthy of a fitting nickname, which they recently announced during an appearance on The Today Show to Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. Unveiling that from now on they should be referred to as ‘Triple Espresso’.

“We also have a name for ourselves. We have an announcement,” Smith said. “Trinity, take it away.”

“We have a proposal for our trio name to be ‘Triple Espresso.’ So we’re going to put that out into the air and let people run with that, because we like that as well,” Rodman announced
