For Fulshear (Texas) Katy Jordan running back Chad Gasper , it’s safe to say recruiting is on the back burner.

Back in May, the 2025 prospect pulled himself off the market in favor of Florida . That commitment remains rock solid, and in addition to that, he now rarely communicates with other programs.

All eyes remain on the Florida Gators ahead of a mid-year enrollment.

“They just made it seem like I was a priority for the team more than other schools,” Gasper said of Florida when speaking to Gators Online. “They kept on me and kept on me, and it just felt like I was a priority for them and a need. They’ve stayed consistent with me throughout my whole recruiting process, from the time they offered until I committed.”

Jabbar Juluke has impressed from the start

Another box the Gators check is in the relationship column.

Multiple staff members have done a good job of making Gasper and his family feel at home, with running backs coach Jabbar Juluke deserving much of that credit.

Gasped first received a scholarship offer on Jan. 27, followed by a school visit from Juluke three days later. That set the tone ahead of a visit in the spring and resulted in a commitment.

“I like a coach who keeps it real with me and straightforward. That’s what I want, and my parents,” Gasper said of Juluke. “We started making a good relationship over the phone. When I went up there in late July, we started getting an even better relationship. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything and tells me how it is. That’s what I like in a person.”

Chad Gasper returned to Gainesville less than two weeks ago

Just prior to the dead period, Gasper and numerous recruits journeyed out to Gainesville for a strong experience. It was for the annual Grill in the ‘Ville cookout.

The 3-star ball carrier relished the hospitality and was quickly reminded why UF earned his commitment in the first place.

“When I went up there, we had a great time and got to know all the coaches on the staff. We also got to know some of the recruits and got to recruit some of them too,” said Gasper.

“We just had a great time because we got to see a different perspective from the coaches. You didn’t have to see them recruit anyone. They were just having a great time with my family and the other families. They have a strong culture and it felt like they are all on the same page.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking , a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Gasper is the No. 79 running back in the 2025 class.
