2026 3-Star WR Jasen Lopez Planning Game Day Visit to Kentucky

2026 three-star wide receiver Jasen Lopez on Kentucky’s radar since he added an offer in May . Now, he’s looking to get on campus.

The 6-foot, 170-pound wideout from True North Classical Academy (Miami, FL) told KSR+ that Kentucky inside linebackers coach Mike Stoops reached out about a visit on Wednesday. Lopez is planning to visit for a game.

“That’s something I’m really looking forward to,” Lopez said. “I told him I’ll let him know which game I’m most interested in going to, I’ll talk to my parents about it, and text him back.”

Despite growing up in Florida, Kentucky has always been a school on Lopez’s mind. He said, “it’s always been a big school for me and my family.”

“I know they have a really good basketball team as well and that’s what they’re really known for,” Lopez said. “I love Kentucky.”

As far as a game day visit, Lopez wants to get a feel for the overall environment, including the stadium, fan base, and support system. Simply said, he wants to see how they do things.

“It’ll be very fun to go out there and experience that,” he said.

His Wider Recruitment

Jasen Lopez is starting to get a lot of invites to visit schools as the season nears its start. He’s talking to his family about putting together a schedule.

“Miami is in my backyard, so [I’ll] most definitely [visit] them,” Lopez said. “West Virginia and Nebraska want me to get up there for a game. I’ll for sure be at NC State, if not for a visit then for a game. Louisville is another one I got invited to.”

Lopez said he’s looking for coaches who understand the player’s view as well as understands the game from a coach’s perspective. Then, he’s looking at academics and schemes.

“I’m also looking at the environment around the school,” Lopez said.

Three-star wide receiver Jasen Lopez of True North (FL) Classical Academy is the nation’s No. 417 overall prospect, according to the On3 Industry Ranking , a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks Lopez as the No. 103 wide receiver and the No. 88 player in Florida.

“I’ve been getting in the weight room this year,” Lopez said. “I’ve put on a couple of pounds and I’ve increased my speed.”

Lopez describes himself as “a playmaker.” He prides himself on getting yards after the catch.

“I can take the top off the defense,” he said. “I have really good field awareness and can see players coming from my peripheral. I’m a quick player who can make plays for a team and make a difference.”
