Jayden Sanders is ready to make his decision.

The On300 cornerback out of Kilgore (Texas) High is expected to announce his commitment today around 11 a.m. ET.

Sanders, who is ranked as the No. 27 cornerback and No. 234 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking, has a final three of Baylor, Michigan and Oklahoma State.

Here is a closer look at where things stand.

    Why It Will Be Michigan

All signs point to Michigan in this recruitment. In fact, Michigan has a 97.1 percent chance of landing Sanders going into his decision, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. I logged my prediction in favor of Michigan after his first unofficial visit in June. It was there where the Wolverines really sold Sanders on being a fit at U-M. Michigan continued to build momentum after getting Sanders back on campus for the BBQ at The Big House a couple of weeks ago. It appears lead recruiter LaMar Morgan, head coach Sherrone Moore and the rest of the staff have done enough to win this recruitment.

    Why It Won’t Be Michigan

Michigan is considered the leader going into the decision, but Baylor and Oklahoma State are doing everything they can to keep him closer to home. Baylor hasn’t been shy about its approach with NIL, and the Bears have worked their way into the picture late. Oklahoma State was the first school to extend an offer to Sanders and has been there from the very beginning. It’s hard for small town Texas kids to venture too far away from home. While Sanders has said distance won’t be a factor, Baylor and Oklahoma State are trying to change that.

    In His Own Words

“When I looked at the defense, it felt like something I play at my own high school,” Sanders said. “I feel like I can come in and play. Coach Morgan likes me as a corner. He likes my length, speed and ball skills. He said my personality fits what they want.”

    EJ’s Prediction

I feel confident in my prediction for Michigan to land Sanders going into the decision. Yes, Baylor and Oklahoma State are closer to home, but Michigan is the superior program. Morgan and fellow assistant JB Brown, two Texas natives, have done a great job of making Sanders and his family feel at home in Ann Arbor. Michigan’s player development, especially on the back end, is another big selling point. I’m sticking with the Wolverines here.
