OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL)  – A significant police presence at the Walmart on Pepperell Parkway Friday afternoon is clearing up as officers confirm there is no armed suspect inside the store. Surveillance footage confirms the suspect has left. However, officers continue to patrol the area out of caution.

The incident began with a shooting in Lee County that led to a police chase. Investigators say a suspect shot up a vehicle near the Beauregard Water Authority, thankfully nobody was hit. We are working to gather more details.

Investigators have requested anyone with information to contact the Opelika Police Department at 334-705-5260.
