    Election Day nears for Orange County; see locations and times for Tuesday

    Voting in the upcoming Primary Election is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at locations across Orange County.

    Early voting concluded Friday.

    There were a total of 626 Democratic Primary votes cast. There were 9,860 votes votes cats during Early Voting in the Republican Primary.

    Locally, there are no Democratic candidates on the ballot, though higher offices on the federal and state side also have contested races.

    Locally, on the Republican side, there are four contested races, plus the State Representative District 21 seat.

    The District 21 field covers Orange County, Jasper County and a portion of Jefferson County.

    In that race, incumbent Dade Phelan faces as primary challenge from David Covey and Alicia Davis.

    • Sheriff: incumbent Jimmy Wayne Mooney, Ron Dischler, Mike Sanchez and Bobby Smith
    • Orange County Constable Precinct 2: incumbent Jeremiah Gunter, David C. Bailey and Harold W. Hass
    • Orange County Constable Precinct 4: incumbent Matt Ortego and Joey Jacobs.
    • Orange County Republican Party Chair: incumbent Leo LaBauve III and Cheryl L. Warren.
