    Crews worked to put out two fires in Orange

    ORANGE, Mass. (WWLP) – Firefighters in Orange put out back-to-back fires on Monday.

    According to the fire department, at around 6:41 p.m. crews were called to an electrical fire in the attic at 161 East Main Street. Upon arrival, Orange Fire Sgt Cole was able to put out the fire with an extinguisher.

    Less than an hour later at 7:27 p.m. multiple 911 callers reported a fire at 133 South Main St, with people trapped inside. When crews arrived, the residents were outside the home, and a fire could be seen coming from the outside of the house near the electrical service line. The fire was put out when the live electrical service line dropped to the ground. Crews searched inside the home for any fire however, smoke was only found. No damage was caused inside.

    No injuries were reported in either fire.
