    Florence County deputies find nearly 7 pounds of cocaine stashed in vehicle’s secret compartment after I-95 traffic stop

    FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Florence County deputies seized nearly seven pounds of cocaine and arrested a Florida woman on Wednesday after pulling over a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 95.

    Authorities arrested Carmen Denisse Garcia Roman, 34, of Orlando, Florida, after finding the drugs hidden in an “aftermarket compartment” in the vehicle, deputies said. She was charged with trafficking cocaine and taken to the Florence County Detention Center to await a bond hearing.

    Roman was traveling north on I-95 near mile marker 163 when authorities pulled over her vehicle and found about 6.6 pounds, or 3 kilos, of cocaine.
