Paolo Banchero's 3-Word Response To Magic Teammate Embarrassing Victor Wembanyama

Franz Wanger was the best player on the floor in Germany's 85-71 win over host nation France at the 2024 Olympics on Friday.
Earning that distinction while facing off against Victor Wembanyama is impressive enough by itself. But Wagner led his country to victory while aggressively challenging the San Antonio Spurs' 7'4 wunderkind at the rim on multiple occasions, even getting the best of Wembanyama on a filthy switch-hand slam in transition.
It's not just his Orlando Magic teammate's poster dunk on Wemby that left Paolo Banchero so excited. He was even more fired up by the totality of Wagner's awesome performance against France.
Wagner finished with 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting, adding five rebounds and two assists. Wembanyama, on the other hand, never found his rhythm for the French, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds while taking just 11 shots.
Both teams advanced to the Olympic quarterfinals, with Germany taking Group B by going an undefeated 3-0. Wagner, Dennis Schroder and company are set to be one of top-two seeds in the quarterfinals, likely behind Team USA. The French finished group play 2-1, awaiting Saturday's draw to learn their next opponent.

The Magic, meanwhile, look to level up even further in the Eastern Conference this season following a breakout 2023-24 campaign. With improving young stars like Banchero and Wagner leading the way, don't be surprised if they accomplish that goal.
