Packers' NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Kramer to emcee Oshkosh Country Club Golf Classic

OSHKOSH – This time around, golf will be celebrating a gold jacket instead of the green one.

NFL Hall of Famer, commentator and author Jerry Kramer is coming to town, having been named the Master of Ceremonies for this year’s OCC Golf Classic at the Oshkosh Country Club July 12.

Oshkosh Country Club General Manager Donny Sell made the announcement ahead of the fourth annual charity event hosted by Green Bay Packers' Pro Bowl guard Elgton Jenkins and the club’s billionaire owner, T.J. Rodgers.

An all-time great offensive lineman who played his entire 11-year career with the Packers, the 88-year-old Kramer will host two autograph signings of his recent book, "Run to Win," at 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on hole 12.

Golfers will also get the chance to meet with Kramer, who played an integral role on the Lombardi-Starr championship teams of the 1960s as a five-time All-Pro left guard before being named to the NFL’s 50th Anniversary All-Time team.

Other unnamed current Packers players are expected to attend as guests of Jenkins.

The event will also feature a silent auction and other charitable donations, with proceeds benefiting the Oshkosh Kids Foundation and Jenkins’ hometown Clarksdale High School Athletics.
