Peru Set to Celebrate Independence Day by the River
America's birthday is Thursday, and Peru's celebrating the night before, with fireworks, food and fun, down by the river. Things get going before dark, with a full slate of food vendors on hand. WLPO's Jeremy Aitken will be broadcasting from Water Street, and at dusk the skyrockets will go off in time with the music. An alcohol-free fun zone will offer kids' activities and games.
