Lawrence man pleads guilty to using firearm during an aggravated assault
LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - Kevin L. Lemon, of Overbrook, Ks, pleaded no contest to aggravated assault for an incident that took place in 2023. On Aug. 31, 2023, Lemon held a firearm during an altercation with a 73-year-old man in a home. The home was located in the 600 block of North 500 Road in Overbrook, Kansas.
Lawrence woman set to serve time for boyfriend’s fentanyl-related death
LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - A Lawrence woman is set to spend time in prison after she pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the fentanyl-related death of her boyfriend. Douglas County District Attorney Suzanne Valdez announced on Wednesday, July 3, that Chloe L. Colby, 23, of Lawrence, pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter and conspiracy to commit unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. The move follows the death of a 21-year-old Lawrence man.
