OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Firefighters from Overland Park and Leawood had to put out a large house fire in Overland Park Wednesday night.

The fire happened near 180th and Canterbury just after 9 Wednesday night, according to responders.

The house suffered significant damage. No injuries were reported — although firefighters did find a dead cat in the house — and another cat is missing.

Neighbors said the homeowners were away at the time and that no one was inside.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
