Tradition of the Sullivan County Fair milkshake
SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — There are many different kinds of fair foods. The tradition in Sullivan is a milkshake. The 12-ounce chocolate milkshake sells for just $1 with all of the profits going to 4-H. It originated back at the old fairgrounds in the early 1950s, but the Prairie Farms mix and machine has been used since 1986. If you have purchased one in the last 38 years, chances are you have seen Rusty Deckard.
