Oblong Residents to Receive Electric Aggregation “Opt-Out” Letters
(Oblong) – The Village of Oblong is alerting Ameren customers in the Village about “important updates” to Oblong’s Electric Aggregation Program. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, says before long many will begin receiving “opt-out” forms from Ameren. She says when you receive the cards in the mail if you do nothing, you will automatically be enrolled in the Village aggregate price with Constellation NewEnergy Inc. She says all village residents will be automatically included in the program unless they choose to opt out. Fielder says this is how the aggregate program is set up and the Village of Oblong has zero control over the automatic inclusion process. However, customers have the flexibility to opt out of the program at any time. To learn more visit Facebook.com/OblongMayor.
