NY Boulders Open Three-game Home Stand Against Ottawa Titans, Fan Favorite Returns to Team for Pics and Game Action This Week
The New York Boulders return home to Clover Stadium in Pomona tonight to start a three-game series against the Ottawa Titans. Game time 7pm tonight. They’ve lost six of their last ten games. The Boulders are in 2nd place in the Eastern Division, just a half-game ahead of the Titans. Meanwhile, a fan-favorite from the championship-winning Rockland Boulders is returning to the team tonight after a stint in the big leagues. Outfielder Stephen Cardullo will play his first professional game since 2021. He was the Boulders’ first player to reach the Majors, when he joined the Colorado Rockies in 2016. Cardullo will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans tonight. He’ll suit up and take the field with the team on Thursday. Cardullo was a key member of the Boulders’ 2014 title-winning squad, hitting a leadoff home run in the second inning of Game 6 of the Championship Series that accounted for the game-winning RBI in the series clincher.

Beyond Boys: Girls’ Flag Football Comes to MHS
Over the past few years, Girl’s Flag Football has become increasingly popular throughout New York, with approximately 48 high schools welcoming the sport into their athletic programs in 2022. The introduction of Flag Football in nearby schools has persuaded the Mamaroneck High School athletic program to attempt to launch varsity flag football in the Spring 2025 season. It is anticipated that an official decision by the MHS Athletic Department will be made by next year. Until then, the team will operate as a club sport. This format allows the team to meet and begin honing their skills without the pressure of competition.
