Palm Springs police said Friday they believe the man found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot near a freeway overpass Sunday had just shot two people dead in a car nearby. The Riverside County coroner also released the names of all involved.

Previously, police had said only that the two scenes appeared "related," but not how.

The coroner identified two people who were injured at 1:10 p.m. and died at 1:38 p.m. Their names were Glenford Gatewood-Quilter, 37, of Loma Linda and Jacob Lombardino, 27, of Hesperia.

The third individual was identified as Donta Tinnin, 34, of Victorville. The coroner said Tinnin was injured at 1:15 p.m. and died at 2:04 p.m.

On Sunday, officers responded to a call for a gunshot victim near North Indian Canyon Drive and Garnet Avenue at around 1:15 p.m. When they arrived, police found two men dead in a white Toyota sedan and a third man dead from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds south of Interstate 10, near the Indian Canyon Drive overpass.

On Friday, PSPD Captain Mike Kovaleff confirmed two victims had been shot in the car before the attacker fled the scene and shot himself near the side of the freeway.

No suspects remain outstanding, according to Kovaleff.
