Williams, who just turned 36 years old, has three seasons left on his contract, but none of it is guaranteed. He is scheduled to make solid money over the next three years, with base salaries of $20.05 million, $22.5 million, and $32.21 million, respectively, putting him near the top of the market. However, he wants reassurance. If the 49ers cannot make that happen, the Chicago Bears should consider a deal to bring Williams in to protect Caleb Williams‘ blindside.
